Let’s put Bells on Cats!
There was once a colony of mice terrorized by a cat. They couldn’t come out of their hiding places to explore and search for food, in fear that the cat would attack. Finally, the mice held a meeting to discuss what they could do.
Many ideas were proposed. Then, one mouse declared, “We will tie a bell around his neck, so when he approaches, we will hear him coming and we can scurry away!” “Hurrah!” the others shouted. “We will surely outsmart the cat with this idea, but who among us is brave enough to tie the bell around the cat’s neck?”
No one volunteered – so, the mice still live in fear of the cat to this day.
Ideas are great, but if you don’t execute them, nothing happens!
Be a brave mouse, and execute your idea. You will not only save your colony from the cat, but you will also be a hero in the eyes of your mouse compatriots.
Brainstorming and idea generation is an important process, but all that work is useless if no one executes the plan. So, let’s go put some bells on cats.
